cValue Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 25, 2026

What cValue Does

cValue is a Chrome extension that displays sell-for-cash gift card values from CardCash alongside your Capital One Shopping rewards. It helps you see how much cash you could receive for each gift card before you redeem.

Data We Collect

cValue collects the minimum data necessary to function. We do not collect your name, email address, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information.

Data We Store Locally

The extension stores two small values in your browser using chrome.storage.local:

No browsing history, credentials, or personal data is stored.

Data We Store on Our Server

Our server at cvalue.edgerunners.cloud stores:

None of this data is linked to your identity. We do not store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or account credentials.

Third-Party Services

cValue fetches sell rates from the CardCash API via our server. Your browser does not contact CardCash directly except when you choose to visit their site through the extension. We have no affiliation with Capital One.

Permissions Used

The extension does not request access to all sites, your tabs, your browsing history, or any other broad permission.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. Server data is used solely to provide gift card pricing within the extension.

Data Retention

Anonymous client records and merchant data are retained for as long as the service operates. You can remove all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
